Brownie "MILLIONAIRE DUDE". Palmer Cox was the creator of the mythical Brownie figures, which had enormous popularity in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Many companies such as Hubley, McLoughlin, Schoenhut, etc. created Brownie toys. It is highly unlikely that this particular piece was created for a child. More likely it was used in a store window as a display or ?attention getting? purposes. Schoenhut created a series of various figures including Uncle Sam, the Chinaman, the Indian, the Millionaire Dude, etc. In an 1895 display they featured the various Brownies in their booth. These are rare figures and seldom found. This particular Brownie is known as the "Millionaire Dude".
