Description:
This steam engine is not identical with #130/452 and might be a combination of parts from 2 engines. The boiler is a simple pot boiler design, 45mm diameter x 111mm long, fired by a 2 wick meths burner. Boiler fittings consist of a safety valve, whistle and steam regulator. Steam is fed from the regulator to the reversing valve, which is built into the port face of the oscillating cylinder. The cylinder is single acting, 6.8 mm bore x 15 mm stroke. The piston rod is connected to a simple crank on one end of the crankshaft, which also has a 65 mm diameter alloy flywheel at it's centre and an 11 mm diameter pulley at the other end. The cylinder and crankshaft are mounted on a small sub-chassis, which is itself mounted on a square steel base, along with the firebox and chimney support. The chimney is purely cosmetic, although the support does have a pair of holes which might be for exhaust pipes in a different model.
