Company history and description of the company Alamo Iron Works in San Antonio, USA

In 1879 the company was establishe bei the German imigrant Geore Holmgreen.
In 1883 his sons joined the business. They produced mechanical banks, ornamental iron work, storefronts, balconies, railings, columns, fencing, cresting, iron and brass castings, and machinery repair.
In the late 19th they provided metal work for the construction of a number of San Antonio's commercial buildings.
By the 1920s the company had grown to include branches in Corpus Christi, Brownsville and Houston.
In 1920 the company went bankruptcy.
