Company history and description of the company Archer & Sons in England

In 1848 the company was founded from W.F. At the beginning were presumably mainly produced optical devices.
At the beginning of the 1880-er years Archer & Sons were known to their high quality at Optical Lanterns and Oil- and lime -light.
In 1884 and 1885 the British Journal of Photography confirmed, that they were superior to all others.
In 1888 they were located at 43 Lord St. Liverpool, England.
In the 1890-er years the first advertisements were published for cameras of their production. The first camera was a combined camera for manual or state operation. In later advertisements appears the locationLord St. 73 in Liverpool. During this period they selled also cameras of the company W. Tyler.
From 1903 is known another advertisement for an automatic tub hand camera.
