Description

Company history and description of the company Beckh, Nuremberg, Germany

1939 Ottmar Beckh assumes the production of the Nuremberg tin toy manufacturer Adolph Schumann who sold under political pressure and operates under Beckh KG , Nuremberg, Germany . Schumann produced from 1907-1939 construction kits, steam turbines, rains ot the gauge 0 and accessoires. Its logo was the intertwined initials "AS" . Beckham extended the program to military freight trains.
In 1949 Beckham again take over the production of movement paths of the track 0 after the war , the first models were still relatively large and robust. By the time his movement paths were getting smaller and cheaper.
1960 Beckham provides in the H0 a battery train , the locomotives have a plastic housing and the passenger and freight cars were almost entirely from sheet metal. The cars were all very loving lithographed.
1973 the production is stopped .
Known is a green 3-axle electric locomotive labeled " E18 " and a black , 3-axis streamline steam locomotive with 2 -axle Tender , everything made ??of plastic , whereas all the cars have been produced from sheet metal. There are probably three different 2- axle wagons (a yellow shell tank car , a high- side car and a boxcar). Passenger car is a 2-axle and 2 - axle bogies . It seems to have probably been three different types of coupling a simple hook / eye socket, and two nearly identical hook couplings of very similar to Fleischmann.
