In 1867 the company Charles Ml Crandall Covington, Pennsylvania, USA was founded. Mainly wooden lithographed toys were produced from which the children were able to put together a variety of characters such as "District School House," "Acrobats" and "Treasure Box". Charles son Jesse moved after the Civil War to Brooklyn and started his own line. He received patents for rocking toys, alpabetische blocks, construction and toys.
1875 he moved back to Monrose, Pennsylvania.
In 1888 he moved to Waverly, New York.
