Company history and description of the company James Fallows & Sons, Philadelphia, Pennsylvnia, USA

In 1870 the firm was founded and registered under the name "C.B. Porter Company". Owners were James Fallows and his sons, Henry, Charles and David.
1894 the name changed to "Frederick & Henry Fallows Toys". They produced inter alia painted horse-drawn carriages, trucks, trains and boats. High-priced items were marked with "IXL" what means"I Exdell". The production had to be stopped with the advent of lithographed tin toys.
