Company history and description of the company Hertel, Schwab & C0.,Germany

In 1910 August Hertel and Heinrich Schwab both doll designers and a minor partner Hugo Rosenbush who was a porcelain painter founded the Hertel, Schwab & Company .
They were also known as the Stutzhauser Porzellanfabrik.
Some dolls were made exclusively for the American market; Bye-Lo Baby for George Borgfeldt, Our Baby doll mold 152 and Our Fairy doll mold 222 for Louis Wolf & Co., Jubilee Dolls for Strobel & Wilken.
They also produced bisque heads for other German doll firms; Kley & Hahn, Konig & Wernicke and possibly others.
They made Character Baby, Character Child and Dolly Face dolls, all of very good quality.
