In 1942 the company "HOWEG-Holzbearbeitungs- und Werkzeugmaschinen-Reparaturwerk GmbH" was founded by Franz Hoffmann.
1949 he met Karl Foerster a children's sewing machine designer. Hoffmann then produced the of Foerster planned sewing machines without Foerster as "HOWEG Princess" unfortunately in poor and vulnerable quality. Approximately 12,000 sewing machines shall have been produced.
1951 bankruptcy proceedings were opened.
1954 the company was deleted from the Commercial Register.
