From 1863 - 1904 Jullien dolls were made in Paris.
The dolls are not plentiful, They don't have a face that ist to bie loved at first sight.
The bodies are made of hollow wood. They were advertised as being the most solid, lightest body for a doll. The dolls were made very well with wood hands with thin separated fingers.
All dolls are marked with "Jullien" on the neck and with a size number.
Later dolls have a walking and talking mechanism and sleep eyes.
