Company history and description of the company Kley & Hahn, Ohrdruf, Thuringia, Germany

In 1895 Kley & Hahn was founded by Albert Kley and Paul Hahn as a porcelain factory making doll heads and bathing beauties.
Between 1902-1931 they made many types of dolls, including celluloid heads.
They registered trade names as The Dollar Princess, Special, Durable, K., Majestic, Mein Einziges Baby (My Only Baby), Mein Einzige (My Only One), Princess, Schneewittchen (Snow White) and Walkure.
Kley & Hahn often used the initials K & H.
In 1915 they made named Dolly Face, Walküre, Character Babies and Child dolls with composition jointed bodies, all of very good quality and portrait dolls of Senegalaise or Senegalese prisoners.
