In 1872 the company was founded by Jerome B. Secor. They produced children sewing machines and a series of mechanical, singing birds which were presented at the World Exhibition in Vienna in 1873. One of the first patented toys was a singing bird with a leaf. After that came ingenious clockwork toys such as "Brudder Bones, th Banjo Player," Sister Lucinda at thePay "and" The Freedman's Bank".
Mid 1880 Decor sold his business to Ives. He designed more clockwork toys and let them produce from Ives.
