In 1873 the company was founded. They produced, inter alia, locks and keys and parts for sewing machine manufacturer as Singer and Wheeler & Wilson.
1896 the first patent was granted for ist own sewing machine. There are several types produced with chain stitch. The small sewing machines were sold only provided with a different name both as toys and as normal sewing machines. All sewing machines have been supplied with a bracket for attachment to a chair or table. There are, inter alia, the following models:. Automatic, Cordova, Improved Little Comfort, Little Gem, Improved Little Comfort, Peerless Automatic, Reliable, Black, Smith & Egge Automatic, Black, The Smith & Egge Little Comfort Automatic
