Company history and description of the company Max Dannhorn, Nuremberg, Germany

In 1872, the company was founded by Max Dannhorn in Nuremberg.
Max Dannhorn made tin toys such as gyros but mainly Laterna Magicas also brass and wood, but has also made other optical toys, toy gyros and utensils made of metal and porcelain like trays.
The porcelain components were purchased from Villeroy & Boch of Mettlach.
Max Dannhorn never really recovered from the effects of World War I.
In 1921 the company was sold to the Bing brothers. Under Bing, the business continued for a while under Nuernberger Metallwaarenfabrik formerly Max Dannhorn A.-G. continued.
