Company history and description of the company Robert's Manufacturing Co, New Castle in Pennsylvania

The Robert?s Manufacturing Company of New Castle in Pennsylvania produced toys during the late 1940?s and early 1950?s.
They produced ride-on vans, but also dump trucks. Early van grilles have a separate piece of lithographed sheet metal with horizontal bars and inserted behind a large gaping hole above the front bumper. Above the grill opening is a metal plate for Roberts name badge. Later vans have only a simple decal and also the metal with Roberts name badge disapperaed and changed into a decal lettering "Robert's" and later ?Robert?s U-Ride-It?.
