1940s Thomas Industries was founded by Jim Thomas in Wenonah.
They produce a line of gauge 0 tinplate trains, as well as scale model builder's power tools and scientific instruments.
In 1951 Thomas acquired Scale-Craft and company's line of gauge 0 cars and moved to a new facility in Shawnee.
1958 died Jim Thomas and other firms including Thomas Industries Model Trains of Plano continued production. In 1964 a fire destroyed the dies and blueprints.
