Description:

Field kitchen colloquially also called goulash cannon. Chimney with roof and boiler with black cover and black wheels, cover for opening. The driver wears the typical field gray uniform for the army before and during the First World War. On the uniform are red cuffs on the sleeves, red breeches on the trousers, yellow belt and light brown boots. This is the rarer version: the soldier wears field cap and no helmet pimples, in the literature this penny toy is always to find helmet with spiked helmet, to see here in this database under (item-No.: 52875) and David Pressland "The Book of Penny Toys", p. 60, No.174. The soldier is small marked at the back on the buttocks, right and left respectively from bottom to top with GES (means Ges. Gesch., also with legally protected), but without Meier logo. There are also the non-motorized version of Meier as chaise, see already here in this database (Article No .: 24435)
