Description:

Field kitchen colloquially also called goulash gun, kettle with yellow lid, the small roof over the chimney is missing, rare version- The driver wears the French uniform in turquoise, on the buttocks stands "IMPORTE D'ALLEMAGNE", so this Penny Toy was still on the verge of eruption of the WK I of Meier specially for the French market by the French uniform modified and imported to France. For the soldier with German uniform and with spiked helmet see here in this database under (52875) and David Pressland "The book of Penny Toys", P. 60, Nr. 174, for the soldier with german uniform, but without spiked helmet see in this databank under (58217). Marked between chimney and driver well visible above with the Meier logo "dog pulls carts", there are of Meier also the unmotorised version as single-horse, to find here already in this database under "Meier Penny Toy Gulaschkanone" (24435), the last picture shows all 3 known variants: with a French soldier, with a German soldier without a spiked helmet and with a German soldier with a spiked helmet
