Artillery mechanical bank #24 painted, copper flashed and nice detail on face. The coin is placed in the cannon (or motar). When the hammer is pushed back and the thumb-piece pressed upon, the coin is fired into the fort or tower. The cannon is so arranged that paper caps may be used if disired. The arm of the artileryman moves up and down, designed by Charles G. Shepard & Peter Adams, Patent No. D-21,594 on 5/31/1892. The coin is placed in the cannon. The hammer is then pushed back; the right arm moves into a horizontal position, press the lever and the coin is fired into the tower. The arm of the artilleryman moves up and down, signaling the firing of the cannon
